Acting is all in the eyes, that’s actually the big secret to acting. I learned that when I met James Gandolfini. I got his autograph and everything. I asked him how he got so good at acting with such little training (he only became an actor as an adult, never had interest in it until a friend asked him to try out for a play). He said “it’s all in the eyes, if you can express yourself and react realistically to dialogue through your eyes, you got 90% of it down. The rest is just learning your lines and the way you move when reciting dialogue”. I went back and watched all season of the sopranos after he told me that and he was right, the way he was able to express his emotions through his eyes is incredible.

Tyrion did live up to tywins expectations. He was just a dwarf. It's why he made sure Jamie joined the kingsguard, to position Jamie close to the throne, him the hand, tyrion was supposed to head casterly rock making them control the wealth and throne of westeros. Which WOULDVE worked, if jeoffrey was controllable but this time tywin had to shift focus. Need Jamie out the kingsguard, but knowing his pride would only happen if Jamie decided, with or without 1 hand. Tywin in the books never wanted this to happen, he also never slept with tyrions woman. Tyrion before the wedding sent her across the narrow sea with a food amount of coin. Thus was a deviation I disliked heavily in the show but made the show better and tywin actor wanted out of his contract as he didnt like the PR backlash of the show to tarnish his record as an awarded actor.

@@irasac1 yes, I always found it a little weird that she not only has an incestuous relationship with Jamie but she had kids with him. She could have just had kids with Robert and they most definitely would have ruled the kingdoms. She hated the fact that Robert was still in love with Lyanna, she thought that Robert would love her, she was supposed to be beautiful, she thought that not only was she going to be a queen but she was going to have a great life with her king and a kingdom to rule over. Her father never really loved her, he gave her to Robert who didn't love her either but Tywin did love Jamie and imo, this might be very far fetched but, I think that she had kids with Jamie and Jamie only to take revenge of sorts, revenge from Robert for never giving her the love that he had for Lyanna and from Tywin for never loving her all that much, only thinking about his legacy, by stealing his heir therefore leaving no legacy behind, and to some extent I feel like she was jealous of Jamie, because he was Tywin's golden lion so she had kids with him to ensure that he would never leave her and that he'd be bound to her forever. I don't think that she didn't have love for Jamie tho but she still was a very destructive, jealous woman. Ofc, Jamie made his own choices, I don't blame her completely, he wasn't exactly blameless but Cersei has proven again and again that she's insane.

Sending Tyrion to the wall isn't the action of a psychopath. As far as Tywin knew, it was just exile and not an existential threat. It was cruel but he had no intention of overtly harming Tyrion. He truly did see Tyrion as a Lannister, just not one that he wanted associated with the realm. Tywin was resolute about protecting those with the name Lannister. His sole motive was to maintain House Lannister's dominant position in the realm. Tywin was a man of his word. He was ruthless with those not of his house but he was not psychopathic.
