It's really cool to see Sammy back! The beard is different. He definitely reminds me of the one episode that Jamey was having a hard time keeping up with payroll n a tuff time one season. When he said we said.we who knows we might be one of the old guys kicking the bucket with Jamey Davis towing telling the youger guys what to do around the shop. It's really nice to see him back I always wondered about what happened to him. N his family I also seen on one of the show's kickboxing.

That old Pete is a classic for sure. Funny I remember an episode when I think it was Ken or Scott were up on the Coch and they were driving a truck that wasn't lettered under Jamie Davis and ran into some issues with RMP Officers thinking they were not authorized to be out there , ya think that may happen with the Coastline Trucks ? Jamie is a good dreamer. All we see are projects, gonna do this, gonna do that and yes there is some progress shown at times but we're yet to see a project they've worked on out on the roads lol The ones they use were bought that way. Is this a towing company or another old truck collector that just needs to start a museum?

Love The Older Trucks

47 needs a complete overhaul. the paint needs to be stripped, the whole truck needs to be sandblasted for rust, the boom needs to be replaced because the gearbox is worn out, and it needs repainting. I think Coastline Blue will work well for this truck.

Love all the sweet ol' iron and it's cool to see it wearin' the original livery as well. I read a comment about the RCMP givin' them a hard time about bein' on those roads with unauthorized trucks because of the Coastline name bein' on it. So just put the Jamie Davis name on the door and a notation that it's a tribute to Coastline. Anybody who cares about the history will see that and think it's cool and if the rig is gonna work the folks needing the help couldn't care less what name is on the door, I'm sure. I dig the tribute Jamie is doin', but it's easy to understand that the different name could cause confusion. Someone from New Mexico or Newfoundland could use their service and have no idea about Jamie Davis or Coastline. They could put in an insurance claim that Coastline helped them and an insurance claims adjuster in Timbuktoo (who also doesn't know about Jamie Davis) could kick the claim because of the non authorization. I could see that kinda stuff happenin'. Personally, I dig the tribute and also all of the older gear so keep on keepin' on Jamie (and his bunch)...thumbs up from Nova Scotia.

I'm curious why u don't add cab over tow truck with a falck outfit on. Possibly a volvo. Shorter wheelbase but a lot easier to manoeuvre on highway jobs, better fuel economy and ride quality. Also why not a single axle 4wd 8tonner with wheel lift for the tow. Also what about a cabover hino 700 series with rollback deck tag axle with a wheel lift on rear. Very versatile and manouverable. I'm comparing European big guns with your equipment in more or less same treacherous conditions.

SAMMMIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!

Coastline trucks are HR 46, MR 47, FD 48, LR 49, HR 50 and FD51. HR 46 will get the quick swap this unit is back in service and is in LA on a tow it will be back soon. HR 47 needs to full overhaul that truck is after Bruce's the boom is busted, the truck is full of rust, and if you watched Season 7 of Highway Through Hell the gearbox is worn out and the winch cable snapped when they used it on a wreck on the show. 47 will get a full rebuild and a new wench will be installed with a new boom on it. 48 is Ken's old flatbed it is also back in service but Jamie sold it to pay for HR 100 and parts for Rotator. 49 is the 480 Holmes they have in the shop it is almost done it did 6 tows last winter before Jamie sent it to Sacramento with 48. Last but not least is the original HR50 that truck is in paint and the outboards are being mounted reveal will be soon. 51 is still in service and Jamie is building several light duty trucks to replace the Coastline lineup.

Will Colin return for the new season?

I had to drive one of them old trucks years ago while the truck I bought was on order, holy lack of creature comforts !!! Funny, it wasn’t a tow truck, but I was hauling cars in an old four car trailer where one car tucked in the belly and three over top of the arched deck. It was called a “Wally mo” (or something like that) trailer. Jaime, what do you do, if anything, to the interiors to update them and make your drivers a little more comfy on those long shifts?
