Protein bite recipe -
Cookie Dough protein bite recipe -
1 cup natural peanut butter1/2 cup rolled oats5 tbsp vanilla protein powder (mix protein powder with water BEFORE adding it to the other ingredients. It will get rid of the chalky taste if you do it this way)1 tbsp flax seeds3 tbsp agave syrup or honey1 tsp vanilla extract1/3 cup chocolate chips1-3 tbsp water, optional
McGriddle Bites -
2 cups of Pancake Mix - I used protein pancake mix but you can use any kind that you prefer
1 1/2 cups of water
1 lb breakfast sausage
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup maple syrup
Bake at 400 degrees for 12-15 minutes
Protein Shake
Ice
Milk of your choice - fill up to the top of the ice
A serving of your favorite vanilla protein powder
Cinnamon - I just eyeballed the amount
Cacao nibs - I just eyeballed these
Approx a teaspoon of honey
Nutpod vanilla creamer - or you can use any vanilla creamer. I eyeball the amount too
Half of a frozen banana

I so agree about it being important to keep your fridge clean and organized. I totally empty mine once a week (the day we set our trash out) and it’s amazing what I have forgotten about in just a few days. It really helps keep me on track on inventory and being more mindful instead of wasteful. BTW, I would love for you to share more healthy recipes!!

Happy Sunday! What a week. I am just north of Nashville and we got 8 inches of snow Monday and then ice Thursday. I am a teacher and we’ve been out all week and will be again tomorrow. So thankful for the break and time to clean my house but ready to get this snow OUT OF HERE! The south just isn’t prepared for the snow that you guys get.

I bought a bunch of plastic placemats at the dollar store and lined all my refrigerator shelves and drawers with them. I also cut them down to fit all the door shelves. Its so easy to clean now! I can even throw them in the washer!

Hi Jamie, Everyone is different when it comes to organization. As far as the pantry. I wish I had one. I use a cupboard similar to your parents and some other regular cupboards. Personally I pulled everything out. Grouped the items. I noticed you have a lot of cans and jars. Have you considered a can organizer( tiered shelf or ones that can roll down the next can)? I use a lot of clear storage containers with the sealed lids. I got them from Walmart and they are the Better Homes and Garden line at Walmart. Another option for seal tight canisters are also at Aldi's, with the clear bottom and white lid that has the twist lock system.They keep food fresh for a long time. Bottom is see through so you can see when you're running low. Best part is they are all the same so they fit in a cupboard or shelf easier. Some of them are even stackable to take advantage of vertical space. Personally our snacks change often too. I found using Avery removable labels works best for me. So no one container is permanent for one item. Also maybe getting the basket shelves that slide onto your shelf can give you additional storage and be able to separate items. Using vertical space even with stackable bins, turn table for sauces and such. Even on the inside of your door of your pantry. Can attach organizers. Just make sure it doesn't interfere with closing your door and the shelves. Categorizing foods help as well. All breakfast together, all pasta, all snacks, and all cans. Another way of organizing I have seen is having 7 bins and each is for the day of the week. Each one is for the meal or meals of the day. I haven't used this one but it might work for you. I find having clear containers and things organized in the refrigerator and my version of pantry helps use the items I have bought. Along with meal planning. These are all suggestions. Hopefully they will help you with your pantry organization. For your dehumidifier have you tried distilled water instead of tap water? Thank you for sharing!

Happy Sunday 🎉 You are so right about having healthier choices in front of you. My husband is diabetic and we are both striving to improve our health. I just don't bring junk food in the house and have been opting for higher protein snacks. I add Grapenuts to our yogurt bowls for added fiber. For the pantry, stick with bins and baskets. What goes in them can change, but they will stay corralled.

My best method for organizing my pantry as items change is getting a multipack of clean air tight containers in a variety of sizes. You might use a container for pretzals and once that's gone it is now for goldfish or something like that. Then you can be organized and flexible.

I have been putting all my light fixtures in the dishwasher for years. That’s the best and easiest way to clean them. They come out squeaky clean and never had any break.

HI Jamie! Great motivating video! I am excited to see your upcoming pantry organization video! I always use big bins/baskets for items that we switch out regularly (or for bulky items) and then jars for items that we will always have on hand. I have a couple of bins for snacks, a couple for pasta, one for miscellaneous items like back ups, and one for bread, and then lots of jars for rice, beans, flax, protein powder, flour, sugar, etc. Lazy Susans/Tina turners are great for bottles/jars. It’s 15 degrees outside but feels like 10! Ugh !!! I’d rather be cold than hot but I don’t like the sn❄️w! That can melt and go away haha My floors are screaming every day & we don’t even wear shoes in our house! And I hate a dirty car inside and out !! Can’t wait to get a good car cleaning once this is all melted !!

Thank you for always mentioning thrive market. My daughter was diagnosed with hoshimotos and gluten can cause her inflammation in her body. I am illiterate when it comes to healthy options and thrive is easy to shop and we all enjoyed a lot of their gluten free snacks and pantry options 😊

Thank you for mentioning that granola has a lot of sugar. I had a hard time finding crunchy stuff to use in my yogurt and I will definitely look into Catalina crunch. Because I am type 2 diabetic and trying to get more protein in my lifestyle. Working on self care this year ❤

Hi Jamie, I use the Boneco humidifier and I love it because it actually boils the water, so it kills off any bacteria and mold that might otherwise grow inside of it. It still needs to be cleaned of course, but not as often as the cool mist types.

Happy Sunday! It snowed here last Sunday about 4-5 inches and then got more snow and ice on Thursday and Friday. Needless to say we have been stuck inside so a week. Last night it was a low of 4 degree. I don’t know about you but I’m so ready for SPRING! Tomorrow it is going to be 47/degrees! Heat wave! Lol Compared to what we have been having. The Canopy humidifier has been SO easy to clean! I have a bedside one and a larger capacity one for my living/kitchen area. I will tell you this, though. I had to get candle lamps to use my candles because the humidifier is SO good at pulling toxins from the air that it pulls soot inside you didn’t realize you had. Which is fine because I’m trying to be healthier and i know it’s bad for my pets and for our lungs. My filter was getting nasty and needed changing long before it should’ve been. Thank you for getting me motivated today! I need to get that hand steamer! ❤

Hey Jamie! I’m currently watching your video and I’m at the part where you’re talking about your humidifiers. I have a few in my house currently. I really like the Vicks ones. I’ve been using that brand for years. My mom has a top fill one with a big open lid that’s easy to clean. I see you have some build up in yours. What I’ve done for serious mold and mildew in those is put a tiny bit of bleach in the reservoir and then take it outside, plug it in, and run it for an hour. After that hour, I rinse it really good, fill it back up with plain water, take it back outside and run it for another thirty minutes. Then I come back in, dump the water out and clean up anything that’s left behind, which to be honest isn’t much. To keep it from getting gross I put a squirt or two (depending on size) of peroxide in it during water changes and that seems to help keep the mildew down. Peroxide is the same thing I use in my outdoor fountains because it’s “bird safe” in less than 24 hours. So I figure, if it’s good enough for birds, it’s good enough for me. Doing the peroxide at water changes, I only have to do the bleach run about once during the season and then I’ll do it again before I store them for the summer. Hope that helps!

One of the worst experiences I ever had was a time I went in for extreme uterine bleeding and cramping (ended with a hysterectomy). When discussing concerns with the doctor I told her I was sitting at a 7-8 on the pain scale, mind you I’ve dealt with years of kidney stones and have learned how to stay calm and communicative whilst in excessive pain). First thing that happened was she just looked at me and said “you don’t look like you’re in pain”…I was definitely taken aback after that. What came next was the discussion for pain medication, I mentioned that I can’t have IV Morphine as it causes my stomach/abdomen to seize and puts me in such discomfort that it’s very hard to breathe (learned this after one of the rounds of kidney stones). I asked that if that was all they were going to give me for the pain, I’d rather have nothing for the pain at all. After she left the room I heard her say she was going to ORDER IV MORPHINE…I asked the nurse who was in the room if I’d heard her correctly? She said I had, I reiterated I’d rather have nothing at all than get IV morphine. She said she understood and would talk with the doctor, the nurse apologized, I told her she had nothing to apologize for and I thanked her for her help. So yeah…not fun whatsoever.

Hi Jamie, enjoy ur channel. When cleaning my glass pendants I just learned to use half alcohol half water. Spray then wipe with microfiber. I just tried it the other day and it worked great! God bless , John 3:16

Hey Jamie, I just started putting collagen powder in my coffee. I also need to try protein shakes to help me increase my protein. I know I don't eat enough protein.
