It’s impossible not to be attracted to elegance! It communicates grace, self-respect, sophistication and that subtle inner power that is just MAGNETIZING. Best part, anyone can learn! And everyone’s style is unique to them. Thank you Jamila 🥰

It’s so true!🩵🩵🩵 now we all can learn and knowledge is so accessible to us unlike ever before! I couldn’t learn it in my family or from my mother, but I’m so grateful for all the mentors I had in my life, who taught me about feminine arts and it changed my whole life 💗💗💗

I didn’t think I was that elegant until I recently found out that I was dubbed “the classy friend” of my friend group because of how I dress & carry myself. I’ve even had lady friends say that they wanted to dress & behave like me! I was shocked 😯 yet quite flattered. I still think I’m a work-in-progress but I’m glad that I’ve made some improvements overtime. & I’ve noticed that older men have been drawn to me lately because I practiced what you listed, & a few men around my age view my elegance as being “the cool yet chill.” It’s interesting.

I understand the shocked feeling! I was introducing my husband to co-workers for the first time and one of them called me the master of introductions. I don’t think I’m that good, I just bring up something they have in common, or remind my husband of something (nice, of course!) I’ve told him about that person.

The way you speak is important, the way you dress is important, the way you put your makeup on is important, the way you talk, make gestures, smile all are important. This is like a guide for young girls and women in general. We should incorporate as much of these things in our lives. Thank you Jamila, you are a truly inspiration. ❤

Regarding a signature scent and keeping it private, I’m the exact opposite! I love sharing things I love, including my perfume. I also share recipes with anyone who asks and where I purchased an item of clothing. I feel it’s flattering to be asked. I have trouble understanding people not willing to share anything which isn’t their patented property.

Most videos about elegance I've found were very superficial and based on old rules that don't mean anything to people nowadays. Hi Jamila, I’m so grateful to discover your channel. I’m feeling very inspired now to practice working on my elegance this year. When I was growing up, I wasn’t taught this, my closed ones didn’t care about it and at school we didn’t learn much besides saying “thankyou” and “please”. I am 23 years old and have realised how unelegant I am in certain areas of myself and I’m definitely going to be self reflecting and working on it. Thank you so much ❤️

I think another big thing is always showing true gratitude. Not only saying thank you, but making eye contact when you say it. Return the favor. Write a thank you card or send a text message later (if it was for something more casual). Mention something small later on, for example; if they made you a great apple pie, say how you always think of them when you have apple pie or buy them a nice pie dish as a gift. Anything thoughtful!

I would like to know what to do after saying "I would like you not to touch my laptop without my consent"....what I mean is, usually the people that do that or touch/do something expecially after I already said no to whatever it might be, say I sound very serious and won't do it again....but they don't stop either! Like, they don't step away from my laptop or give it back, they kinda get scared because it's clear I'm pissed off and they say "sorry, won't do this again" but keep using my pc and when I get it back forcefully because I said no or even need it, I have to get really angry, discuss and yell because they won't listen and they try to argue, snatch my pc back, yell and make me seem the bad guy since they were already using it after all and even said they won't do it another time! What should I do and how I'm supposed to keep calm? It happens very frequently to me with family, friends, fellow students ecc...I'm usually a very polite person and don't say no as a matter of principle, but I usually also explain that I'm not comfortable with certain things (like letting someone use my pc or phone, sharing food since I have tons of allergies and my food is very pricey, plus I count calories for my diet, letting others use my clothes ecc) but people do what they want and expect me to simply let it go...like no, I have set boundaries and I don't care about what you want, that's not how life works!

True elegance is being conscientious and tactful with your words towards others. People who possess those qualities always leave a lasting impression on me.

The emotions part of this really helped my mental state. I've become more calm and collected. I'm brushing up on a lot of these videos since within the next year I'm joining a company that deals a lot with investors. So feeling confidant in myself when handling everything will not only help me but the company itself.

You are just so lovely! 🥰 my big take away top is the "bag drawer" and cleaning the contents and lining each day/evening. This is such a great idea, I really like this tip. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas, I really appreciate this and the efforts you afford to us with your knowledge. ❤
