i recall the Record with the old dole card cover... And if you are on the dole you could get in to a concert for free...awsome lads ...

My favourite two albums are UB40 signing off and Jimmy Cliff Oh Jamaica. Jimmy's drums were recorded outside on the lawn and you can hear birds on certain tracks. The album has a unique mystical sound. Very interesting to consider that my favourite album was played by learning musicians who couldn't play anything else. Raw natural music. And some of the best drumming in reggae history. Jim Brown has a unique swing and edge hits on the hi hat. I wish I knew the keyboard brand and model Mickey used for that synth piano sound. I wish the boys were still together. Well done UB's.
