Just.. wow. I really wanted to learn about Kashmir but we're always provided facts over background and causes. Usually I subscribe to other channels because the Indian chains do not seem to cover up matters as beautifully or articulately but this video was really something else. Great video. Disagree that religious (communal) conflict started only after 1857. Hindu/Sikh/Buddhist exodus from Kashmir was since 10th century.

Ur videos help ppl like me who are novice on law and constitution's complicated sections,,, heavily confused and misleaded by our political parties and all sorts of media and may be also illinformed by different version of historical explanation... For me there's a development of believeing ur information, I know I myself actually we all have to learn by my own those different version of information and then have to build my own opinion just to avoid further misleading and thus humiliation of our own self... But maybe initially our young age, then commitment to study and find a reasonably decent identity in Indian context don't allow ppl like us to go through 70 years chronology and find out all the accidents /mistakes were done by us to us.. Ur videos works wonderfully in such scenarios and many thanks for your work and good wishes for your work Lastly one thing... Although its hard to comment but throughout last two years many ppl said that when centre will have a non-bjp government it will be undone.... There is a supreme court case also.. So you mentioned kashmiri pandits, that they live in kashmir Valley, you mentioned that hindu rulers also suppressed muslims but not cared to mention carnage of kashmiri pandits... Also its a lie that there was everything okay before 1857 b/w hindu and Muslims. Such a biased mind you have & and fear of speaking truth so that people don't give you a lebal.

I was too suprised to see what i analysed myself was given as one of the factor . Bangladesh liberations connection with the situation in j&k. Feeling like my analysations were setting good .

Why didn't you say that the people of Kashmir never wanted to be with India? This is the sole reason why Kashmiris still could not be with India up till now. Also, the whole purpose of partition was to place all Muslim-majority regions in one country.

Hey Amit Sengupta, Could you shed light on the influence of Shamshudin Araqi in 1400 AD on Kashmir. Information about Araqi comes primarily from Tohafut-Ul-Ahbab, his biography written by his disciple Muhammad Ali Kashmiri. He had a long term impact on the islamization of the region.

You need to brush up History. There is history of ample hindu muslim riots during Jahangirs reign. Large scall anti hindu pogrom under the Bahamani Sultans with countless history of riots and animosity even before the Portugese ever found a way to India

Generally, a good narrative of History. However, there are a few important aspects that you failed to mention : UN resolution conditions for holding the plebesit. The planned genocides, complete ethnic cleansing and forced conversions of Hindus and Buddhists from the Kashmir valley (7th in 1990). One comment is not correct i.e.no riots took place between Hindus and Muslims before 1857. Regular ongoing Islamic genocides, ethnic cleansing and forced conversions of Hindus, Jains, Buddhists to Islam have been going on for the last 800 years by Islamic invasions and the Moguls.

How much of this is history and how much OPINION ?
