1978 Allis Chalmers 16mm film footage for 1978 farm shows. Starts with two short Gleaner Combine clips, then the new tillage tools, then the 7045 tractor.

once again Allis Chalmers was leading the industry. Some of those options just showed up on competitive tractors in the last few years, and this was 1978!

RJ 1999 same here. About ready to break out the life jackets for what corn is up. reminds me of 1970.

thegreenerthemeaner It's always a challenge! Hopefully things turn and the crop is good. Continually optimistic, or you wouldn't be farming

RJ 1999 I guess my optimism shows up as sarcasm at times. Of course we're not trying to do six to seven trips across the field just to get a crop in like 1970. Like I said before, I am semi-retired from farming I do help family, neighbors and friends. But I still have the old drive and emotions about getting a crop in.

I’ve been in the early ones like the 7000 and a 7030 open station, and the main thing I didn’t like was that the steering wheel just felt weird, I can’t imagine how much nicer it would be with tilt steering

Is this Gail Matthius from SNL narrating? She said on a podcast that she did the narration on one of these films prior to being on SNL in 1980.

I always thought it sounded like Julie Payne. It would be nice to figure out who narrated all these films

J + L do you guys plan on making these videos a DVD like Farmington implement did with IH if so it would be a cash cow guys get this film restored And on DVD and your gonna sell them

We hope to offer some kind of release at some point. Nothing set in stone yet though.
