Stefan Pape from HeyUGuys interviews Jane Levy in the horror movie remake of the 1981 movie Evil Dead. They talk about the physical aspects of making the movie, what it was like on set and if the final product is what she expected.
This interview contains swearing.
Plot: Ashley "Ash" Williams (Bruce Campbell), his girlfriend and three pals hike into the woods to a cabin for a fun night away. There they find an old book, the Necronomicon, whose text reawakens the dead when it's read aloud. The friends inadvertently release a flood of evil and must fight for their lives or become one of the evil dead. Ash watches his friends become possessed, and must make a difficult decision before daybreak to save his own life in this, the first of Sam Raimi's trilogy.

Because of her I watched evil dead so many times and all at night but none of the time I was frightened,her beauty mesmerized me

The character of Mia is Ash-like because she's an anti-hero. She's the final girl, but she's also overcome her struggles and feels incredible guilt over what happened. Ash was very flawed, tried so hard to be the tough guy and when his friends all got killed off, you could see his determination to fight back, coming out of the whole ordeal much stronger than before. This is Mia in a nutshell, only difference being that she's a druggie going through withdrawal (symbolism FTW).

Finally a horror film without cgi. The best horror is always without cgi (American werewolf in London, the thing, the exorcist, alien, night of the living dead, any Italian horror film 1960-1980)

Actors doing horror movies deserve so much more credit for their work! Physically, mentally shooting demands so much, unreal! Jane Levy is so great at anything she does but her genre is def horror as an actress!

No, actors back then didn't talk about how much fun their roles for The Evil Dead were. They had bad conditions and were probably not having as much fun as you say they did. Jane had so much makeup and blood, she got blood literally rained on her so I think she's allowed to complain a little bit. And even then, she still says she has fun.

hgk yeah, you hear stories of Sam Raimi beating the crap out of Bruce Campbell with branches and basically torturing the guy. Definitely sounded like Sam was having fun.

It's a twist ending Bruce Campbell added to this remake. She essentially played both roles as Cheryl & Ash combined, tormenting and killing off her friends / sibling while turning out to be the final survivor to take down the demon with a chainsaw & missing hand. All of it was genius and I'm obsessed with Jane's a ting chops ✨

Spiderman accidentally kills Gwen Stacy. If the Amazing Spiderman shows Gwen dying then it could be a harsh character building moment for Peter Parker in regards to his promise to Captain Stacy.

YES! I would love that. The internet already call her a Emma Stone knock off, it would be awkward to put them in the same movie head to head as Peters love interest but if this happens i'd be team Jan, hope to got there Isn't a twilight love triangle story line and Gwen breaks her neck and peter blames himself and Mary Jane Levy is there to get some sorrow sex from Spiderman. Also I'd cast a MILF as Felicia Hardy in Amazing Spiderman 3, they could write Black Cat in as a MILF.

the young actors of today can't handle the movies of yesterday...you can never remake a classic all she did was complain how hard it was and no cgi to the actors back then all they would talk about was how much fun there roles were fucking spoiled rich kids today
