Thanks to all these wonderful people who are saving these amazing machines for future generations to enjoy. Lets contribute to their continued existence by taking our children and riding them ourselves.!

In 1980, I ran the Christmas carousel at Santaland near Cherokee, N.C.. It was so much fun. It was pure joy to watch children and parents ride. As far as I know it's still there and running. This documentary was so beautiful. I found myself brought to tears, watching. All the best to Jane's family, friends and co-hearts. What a treasure! ❤❤❤

My grandfather was one of the owners of Idora Park. I loved the carousel as a kid! So wonderful to see it and can’t wait to visit one day soon. Thanks so much for saving it!!

Wow, what a beautiful little film and remarkable story. I don't remember the first time I rode this carousel at Idora Park, because I was probably being held on one of the horses by my mother. Years later, a short bike ride allowed me to work summers at Idora Park, my very first job and the first paycheck I ever saw (an actual paycheck! I was impressed). Operating rides in Kiddyland at first, I eventually worked my way up to operating the carousel, probably the best job in the park. Side note: I really miss those French fries (world's best by far). I can still smell them like it was yesterday. Love this little film and big congrats to the filmmakers and to the family of Jane Walentas. What a beautiful and wonderful thing you've all done.

That's a man who loved his wife. Hope he's doing ok, and lives with the gratitude that finding a love like that is worth more than the whole neighborhood he built.

I love this so much. That carousel was the absolute best growing up in Y-town, OH. Nothing but wonderful memories of Idora Park. It's remarkable how Jane lovingly restored our beloved carousel. My kids and I visited last year and got to ride it! First time since I was a kid. I think I cried happy tears the whole time. Words can't describe its beauty. When the girl in the documentary says it's magic, she's 100% right! My son just commissioned an artist to paint a portrait of Jane's Carousel as a surprise for my birthday. The painting is so beautiful, I wish I could post a photo here. I'm sorry to hear that Jane passed. My sincere condolences. We are so grateful to her and David for saving our childhood memories. 💖

Thank you Jane and David for working on this carousel for so long and bring it to NYC and sharing with us! The glass box is so iconic that even the Apple store on 5th Ave uses a glass box too. Hope that Jane would be at a better place now. I appreciate you. I first saw Jane's Carousel in the movie "Nerve" (2016)

I remember what it looked like before Idora closed. Visited NY and rode it multiple times, and shocked to see the detail of the restoration.
