A "single-parent family" po is not defined as a broken home. It is a type of family as mentioned in the ESP module being taught to elementary children. Having a "nuclear family" (having 2 married parents and children) or single-parent family doesn't matter as long as children feel the love and support, as long as they feel that they have a place where they belong and the place where they can return to. Notice how she always addresses it as an "incomplete family" rather than a "broken family", because it is never actually broken, let's end that stigma na kapag naghiwalay ang parents "broken" na. It may be incomplete yes, but for most of the cases, mas beneficial din yung maghiwalay na lang kaysa sa pati yung mga bata madama pa because of it. Andami rin kaaing magiging implications ng ganun upbringing kapag nakikita mo growing up na hindi na okay ang treatment ng mga parents sa isa't isa.

I started admiring Janella when I heard her sang Give thanks. She got a beautiful voice. Now that I watched this interview and the more I admired her because even though she’s a broken hearted she’s determined to make her life better and for her kid. I can relate with her raised by a strong widow mother who cares so much and gave up to have a partner in life in order to protect us the daughters. I think this is the greatest mom can do. That’s true, when you don’t have a father growing up, there is something still missing in your life. Janella just keep praying unceasingly and raise your son close to you , your mom and God.
