You can tell she was definitely in a bad place at this time. Also, most interviews are edited to make everything look better, so when you see raw, unedited footage, it all looks so mundane. P.S. She was only 29 here and being asked about aging. I mean, come on!

This is a major interview contrary to what comments are saying. Bypass the bad sound and lighting. As the interviewer mentions we see she is “tired” but she is focused on answering as best as she can and doesn’t shy away from providing descriptive info or jokes here and there spontaneously. Most important answer is on shooting Scream with MJ… she has never provided these facts elsewhere. Janet is a pro at work, and on top of it she is very kind with the interviewer.

Look at Janet's face when she's asked about getting married around 16:00. She was already married at the time and it looks like she's smiling through her lie. LOL

I always liked her hair during this era, I know Janet has said plenty of times she loves cutting her hair into short cuts. It fits her very well, the DOAD era look was really soft / casual. Loved that era of her style

For better or worse, all through the 70s, 80s, 90s, and the 2000s there was no escaping the Jackson family. All through the 70s The Jacksons/5 defined and set the bar for every teeny-bop boy band group that came after them and none of them did it quite as well as they did. They had the Saturday morning cartoon, merchandise, a Christmas album, a variety show, not to mention the countless television appearances, and Janet being on “Good Times” and Michael on the big screen in “The Wiz”. In the 80s Michael RULED the entire pop world, not just music. Janet was coming into her own as a recording artist and performer. The other members of the family had solo projects all throughout the 70s and 80s. The 90s saw Janet emerge as a bonafide Tour de force in the music industry as well as the beginning of her film career. Michael, for better or worst, was on the cover of every magazine and always on television but still had a very successful music career. The “SCREAM” VIDEO!!! 3T had a successful career in Europe. In the 2000s the family saw success with much more controversy. Michael’s usual bashing in the press, the shocking documentary in 2003, the court trial in 2005, Janet’s wildly famous Super Bowl halftime show controversy that is now famously known as “Nipplegate” in 2004 as well as the continuation of her music and film career and finally the death that made the world stand still, the death of Michael Jackson in 2009. Whether you like it or not the Jacksons were inescapable and the most publicized family in human history.

Regardless, Janet is and always FABULOUS!!!!! 😷🙃😘😙😄😂.....The hair is Super Sexy and just her laid-back look, let's You know that Janet dresses for comfort when she gets the chance to just chill.
