I learned this dance 24yrs ago by watching & rewinding, 500 times. This is a MUCH easier way to learn it. I love how you go slowly, bc the hand movements are so intricate, there were some I miss because I couldn't see what they were doing

I'm not a professional dancer by any means but the way dancers number the steps sometimes is confusing. I know they have to be a count of 8 but I never understood why. For example, the sequence at 3:06-3:16, he's going "1 and 2; 3 and 4; 5 and 6; 7 and 8" when I do it I'm literally just going "1 2 3; 4 5 6; 7 8 9; 10 11 12". It's just much easier for me to learn the moves when every single move of a sequence is numbered and there's no "and". Currently struggling to learn 5:45 with the way he's saying "7 and 8 and 1" lol.

Its because music is timed in counts of 8. When he hits 1 you’re back on the 1 count symbol crash on the track.

If you make other videos, get a battery-remote microphone you can wear, or put some sound baffles up in your studio; it's nearly impossible to make out what you're saying, between the echo and your accent.
