Fabulous video - especially enjoyed your retreat recaps! Love that you are both hikers and living on the road. Hubby and I loved to hike in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York. Can’t wait to show him your footage. Happy travelling!

A wonderful recap of your stitching retreat, meet and greet, designing, wip. I thought Mike was quite restrained with his laughing 😂. It was too hear him react, and wondered if he was wanting to speak up. Love the video of your travel through Rocky Mountain National, your very steady camera work makes it lovely to ride along. Rhinebeck would be a fantastic yarn stop. I hope the weather is sunny and gorgeous. Do you have Rhinebeck sweater? Continued happy travels, be safe. 💛

It was great hearing a recap of Weekend 2 of Jacob-Palooza. I was at Weekend 1 with two friends from Michigan and had a fantastic time, although I left there significantly poorer financially (LOL). I only wish I had been at Weekend 2 to meet yourself and Shiloh of XStitchMD, two of the few FlossTubers I watch on a regular basis. Jacob was so wonderfully giving of his time and knowledge to everyone in the room. It was both a pleasure and an honor to be in his presence.

It was SO good to meet you in person & so nice to see a video right after to continue the visit :) Your upcoming travels sound amazing!! I so wanted to go on the Flosstube cruise, but Spencer & I are going to the Dominican for a week in Feb & I couldn't justify two down south vacations a month apart haha - hopefully next year!!

Dearest Jan, I just could not wait until the end of the video to comment, so I am paused here @ 6:30 to say how lovely and well you look, how wonderful everything sounded at Jacob Palooza, and how much I loved seeing all the photos of the lovely people you met, and especially how much I laughed when I heard Mike laughing in the background when you said you weren’t used to filming in front of so many companions!! 😂🩷 Now, I will continue to watch…can’t wait to see the rest!! How absolutely lovely! To travel and stitch and hike and knit. You are positively glowing in your last few videos. You must be thoroughly enjoying life, as well you should be. Wishing you future safe and happy trails. P.S. It's too bad the fabric you are stitching you Friendship Quaker on is a one of a kind. I think the new Rosewood Manor design would look great on that too.

Oh yes, it would look perfect! Roxy Floss Co does have another dark brown fabric that is part of their regular line, though. I don’t know the name of it off the top of my head, but you should be able to find it on the evertote.ca website.

Hi Jan! Beautiful travels! Oh my....no guardrail on the side of the roadway. I would be either clinching the steering wheel if I was driving or holding on to the door or my seatbelt....lol. Happy and safe travels!

Jacobpalooza was my first retreat and it was so fabulous I can’t wait to attend another retreat. I am kicking myself….I knew you were only a table away but am in awe of your talent and just didn’t get the courage up to introduce myself. Another time I will choose differently. Jacobs lessons were fantastic…4 hours to work the hem stitch around the small piece of linen…people did this around entire table cloths! Take care.

Thanks Jan. So enjoy your videos and beautiful scenery of places you are visiting. I am mindful of balance in my life and try to have a variety of activities. I usually have a couple of x stitch and knitting projects on the go plus I love to quilt. I also love to play the harp and hiking is definitely my favourite outdoor thing.. Enjoy Shenandoah , we just came back from a camping trip there. Some of the hikes are beautiful.

I think Virginia colours should be beautiful now. We still have some colour left in Central Ontario. It's been a good year for it, especially the Maples and Tamarack.

Oh the memories lived outside of London, Ontario and remember the traffic mainly truck transport traffic. I'm now living in British Columbia Rocky Mountains dont miss the traffic noise. Great video Jan. safe travels

Yeah, we were talking about how very many trucks there are on that highway! We much prefer to travel on smaller roads, even if it takes longer.

Oh, wow, I live my life vicariously through yours I think. It's such a joy to see your adventures of travel, stitching retreats and meeting the best of the best designers, one of which is you yourself. I think if I met Jacob in person, I would be a blithering idiot. I have many of his patterns and watch his videos whenever they pop up. So glad you had a wonderful time.

It’s always great to hear about all your travels. I live in Hot Springs now for about a year and I didn’t know there was a needle craft store here. So I looked it up in Shepherd. Needle is about an hour from Hot Springs in Little Rock. Hope you guys have a safe trip.

P.S. Your cat is a hoot. He/She didn't move a muscle during the filming. I just love kitties, and we have a new one, replacing our beloved Bailey, who passed of heart disease this past January. Oliver is a rambunctious kitten and keeps us on our old, arthritic toes. 😁

Not at all! Lol. While the space is rather small in our trailer, it is so much easier to get around with this and travel everywhere. The other advantage is that I can drive this, since it’s just driving our Subaru. I couldn’t drive the class A.

It has felt inside, so you can put your cut off strands of floss on the felt, and it stays put. It’s another way to manage your floss if you don’t use bobbins or floss drops.

I started two of them. The first, with the purple floss on the brown fabric, is called In Friendship, and was one of the charts we got as participants on JacobPalooza. I don’t know if that one is available on the Evertote website yet. The second one is Laura’s Frisian sampler and it is available as a PDF on Evertote.ca.
