Janis was a one of a kind! Still after all these years , their still isn’t anyone has even come close to her! It goes to show that you can teach people to sing but you can’t teach them how to feel. And that’s what was so special about her ! She poured her soul into every performance and didn’t just merely sing! Janis you have a piece of my heart baby!

it's not only singing she does she FEELS and BREATHES music
@rachelelisabethnie14 жыл бұрын
She is so raw and completely exposed in her performance, letting everything out from deep within. I'm a singer, and I've had problems with smoking, alcohol, and drugs. When I first started listening to Janis it gave me the courage to start singing again, even though my voice is forever changed. She's one of the artists who showed me you don't have to be perfect or an opera star to give a powerful performance, in fact it can be more real in your own way. Thank you Janis. RIP.

Her best version of this song IMO. The soul is just pouring out of her. And the raw emotion and primal nature of her singing, well what can you say, IMO you can count on one hand, or perhaps less than one hand, the singers who had the ability to do this, Female, or Male.

I've not heard this performance for many months, & I'm all teared up now. I'm all broke up sad, trying not to cry, because I'm a man?...a man should not show emotional pain/sorrow.? Who made that madness up.? Janis gave us her experience of extream painful emotion. Maybe we need to feel such pain to experience life too the full? I would rather be dead than feel nothing. Those into 'Blues' will understand what I am talking about.

Raw passion, blues & soul....How do you explain this to those who do not listen/hear/feel with their emotions.? A waste of energy & time. You either get it or you don't....If you 'don't' get it, then I feel a loss for you. Janis put 100%+ into this performance. She cannot be faulted by any criticism of her life style & suffering (which was very great). Those who have ears to hear are blown away by it. Best performance IMO for pure passion & soul I have yet seen from her.

Imagine.... You're standing there, and you're having a good time with your friends. Nothing is the matter, because eveything is alright. But then you realize that your soul comes out only on certain occassions. It comes out when you are most vulnerable for all to see. Everyone loves you for it, though. They love you for your talentfull-filled -vulnerable state. Then you try and come down to bland level. With the rest of them- And then realize you're in am empty sea bed-
