Jannik and Carlos have ignited the game with their battles. In all my years of following this ever evolving game, i have never seen two players beat eachother beyond senseless. Incredible pace, power, and feel from both guys. Simply astounding and brutal tennis. 😮

Sinner hits a very heavy ball at you. You can tell by the way Novak reacts to Sinner's ground strokes during a long rally. And while Sinner's serve stays in the 125mph range, he really hits his spots and gets a lot of easy points.

Really don't appreciate the amount of top spin the players have and the height they are actually hitting over the net. I thought Jannik was a flatter hitter. Tennis broadcasters, take note, a tv angle like this allows the spectator to immerse themselves in the game instead of being a fly on the wall 50 feet up.
@thejohnnytapia123

@thecoach1683
@thecoach1683 Жыл бұрын
@@thejohnnytapia123 Very strong topspin to bring a loopy ball like that back down with lots of pace too. Really can't respect this element of his game from a camera so high in the air. Many people I know who only have watched tennis and not played think it's easy, because the players look like pong paddles moving back and forth. You don't see the height and spin dimension that these players also manipulate.
@Jack-lw5kh
@Jack-lw5kh Жыл бұрын
This is certainly true, but the higher angle allows for greater appreciation of point construction and the more cerebral aspects of tennis imo. Would be cool if they could switch it up more mid point to get a sense of the biomechanics that go into hitting the ball as well as these guys do!

Waiting for Mouratoglou to teach Sinner how to slice *through* the ball, so that his slices float and give the opponent more time and less spin to work with, like Rune's.

@@andreasmissiroli6915 Perhaps I'm overstating the point but there are or have been promotional videos where Mouratoglou is teaching Rune how to slice. The advice is totally wrong so I thought, ok Rune gets paid for this stupid acting by having access to M's facilities. But then I learnt M is Rune's coach. Worse: Rune is now slicing the wrong way. Old fast and responsive balls are not in use any more (Head/Penn Tour) since 2020. New balls are hard, super controlled and require slugging non stop (Head/Penn Tour XT/XD). So those wonderful Federer plays from the highlight reels, where those balls were used (IW, Basel, Paris, ATP Finals) are history..at least in men's tennis, women still play with them.
