He has a very head-heavy racket and insane racket lag which means the head speed is quite high. High string tension and boom, sounds like a cannon. Don’t try to copy unless you have the wrist and forearm of a pro tennis player 😅

How much of that is Sinner's heavier, higher-tension racket and how much is it Sinner's action to generate power? Possibly a bit of both? It looks unfair given how much more pace and power Sinner produces hence Baez's played well but was simply out-powered/gunned by a bigger, longer, heavier barrel.

@@x3rg34yz1 It's a combination of both: 28Kg tension racket plus added weight plus practicing his biodynamics action with that set-up and it's producing very challenging shots due to superior power/speed. If it produces success, it will be interesting to see if more players try to adopt this approach. That might be the angle you're missing here.

Complete domination by Sinner. Ruthless,. with no mercy😂 during 3 matches he played less than 6h😅 unbelievable. He'll be much much fresher than his main opponents the 2nd week

@@piner74I mean he's playing Khachanov next and then possibly Rublev/De Minaur so the tests will come, getting through these first 3 matches with no trouble is important if he's going to win slams

Sinner is one of my favourite players on tour. But never say, no one could beat him at AO. Never forget Djokovic and Alcaraz. There is a reason why novak has so many slams, and Carlos has already 2 slams and beated djoker in wimbledon. How can you say no one could beat him? But it would be so nice, if Sinner wins.

@@carloartificialintelligence In the match that mattered (ATP Finals), Djokovic destroyed Sinner, in Italy nonetheless. Djokovic has never been very good playing for hiis country. Never at his best. But this is a slam and Novak absolutely cares about slams and records. He's always the favorite, especially in Australia. Oh and btw, remember what happened the other times Jannik and Novak met at a slam? And just to get that out of the way, i really like Sinner and i'd really like for him to win. It'd be great if either Dimitrov, Carlos or Sinner wins the trophy. Novak is always the favorite in AO

all this performance changes if Novak becomes the opponent. If Sinner stays fresh to that possible match, then he can knock out Djokovic with his stamina and power. First, he hast to pass Rublev, which is super hard match.

The level of maturity this guy has achieved is astonishing so much so that he has silenced the (not so many I have to say) critics he had been facing up until mid 2023. Sinner is perhaps not elegant and still needs to improve at the net, but for a few months he has been playing at sidereal levels: anticipation on the ball, ball speed, physical elasticity. You can see that he plays on confidence but that behind it there are many many hours of obsessive training every day ... work and sacrifice always pay off.
