For those of you who would like to make sense of the lyrics, generally, it goes like this: Title- "Keteraraw mado- ከተራራው ማዶ" literally means "Across the mountain". Across the mountain, across from my mother's door lives a childhood friend, a heartfelt friend. We lived, and lived and lived and lived in love. Not only the people but also the river choked on tears when time separated us. Across the mountain, Across from my mother's door, lives a childhood friend, a heartfelt friend. I remember when no one was angry with us, when we were grinding the dust of the earth, if we tasted it or if we baked it. I remember when we were troubled because we quarreled. I remember the ring that we have bound after we reconciled with our pinky-fingers. Let's just wish for these people (dislikers) to have a +ve thought in their heart, soul, and mind as we all have different tastes in so many ways which is okay. As for me, this song sounds like a breath of fresh air to my ears. While I respect others taste....its all ok for others not digging such a brilliant work of art. I love Shiro, and you may like Kitfo unlike I 😄. Remember, we still have commonalities thru our differences. Both dishes are sourced from our beautiful/promised land called Ethiopia reg6of which dish we like or not. Our differences are our beauties! Love n Light my people! ❤
