8 AM Sermon Only
Scripture: 2nd
King David builds an altar for God to minimize plague punishment to his people
because he conducted unauthorized census. Araunah offers wood plus oxen to sacrifice
for free to David. David said no and paid for them. If it is to have value to God, it must
be sacrificed and not free to you. To do better in your walk with God: 1) give Him your
time; 2) be careful in releasing your treasures (money); 3) use your talents for God; and
4) share your testimony about God.
Sam 24: 18 -- 25 (focus v24)

I love this pastors preaching because he challenges us to do better. I am 74 and my life has been busy. I still work. God has given me the gift of suffering in order to draw me closer to Him. Physically I am winding down. But the Lord draws me to be with Him. 🙏🏻♥️✝️

What a Word! I am grateful to God for allowing me to stumble upon this man of God! This word has convicted me in all areas of my life and has caused me to re-evaluate my relationship with God as it pertains to these areas. I love God but am I giving HIM my best! Lord, I've come short in each of these areas, and I'm GOING TO DO BETTER! To those who read this...please forward this sermon to as many people as possible because this word has been planted in our lives to share with others. God Bless!

Made me think of Joni Eareckson Tada. She is a quadriplegic who has used every area of her life to serve others to show them the love and power of Christ. Her life has been one of continuous suffering.

Give your talents freely to GOD is a amazing point however one must be cautious that clarity is made within the departments that is spoken, for the same statement can be challenged to the Preacher of whom is without question compensated well.

How can I tithe to this church? I listen Mon-Fri and get so much out of Pastor's teachings I feel like a member. If I lived in VA I would definately visit and most likely join. Thank Alfred Street for sharing with the world.

Your messages bless me, may God continue to use you in His service. I find something a bit confusing though, looking at 2Samuel 24 v 1 and 1 chronicles 21. Someone please shade some light on this, was it the Devil that caused David to take a census or God Himself instructed him to do so like its written in 2Sam 21v 1. If it was at God's call then how was it wrong for him to go on and count the people of Israel?

"that I may know the number of the people." David should have said so that God might know the number of the people. You read an interrupted correctly.

I have truly been enjoying the sermons. I was also enjoying this sermon UNTIL you asked did we have Aaaa Sabbath. How in the world could such an intelligent, gifted man who can expound on the word of God so indepthly ask such a question when the SAME word of God INDICATES not only SHOULD we have a day, but WHICH day the Sabbath is? From the moment of creation in Genesis all the way to end of the Bible God indicates that the Sabbath should be observed and there's NO PLACE throughout the ENTIRE Bible that tells us we should NO LONGER observe the Sabbath, there's NO PLACE that indicates that the day (the seventh) day was changed. You even gave a sermon where you took your text from St. Luke and put major emphasis on the fact that the ladies took a break from all their work, rested AND worshiped on THE SABBATH DAY!! That even indicates that AFTER Jesus was crucified that His followers CONTINUED in the SAME practice of honoring the Sabbath...that the Bible ALSO says JESUS FOLLOWED AND TAUGHT! What are you saying???????? How could you stand by the scripture so wholeheartedly in one sermon and then make it appear as optional in the next sermon?!?!?! Here's what I LOVE about my GOD, NOT ONLY did He KNOW we would need a day of rest (because as you said in this sermon, if it were left up to US we WOULDN'T rest, BUT HE took the reigns and DESIGNATED which day it would be so that this WOULD NOT be debatable. Designating which day SHOULD ALSO breeds UNIFICATION by His followers. BUT, as MAN would have it, we do things OUR OWN WAY. Just as I was getting into listening to you, with THIS PERSONAL stance being taught, I find myself TRULY disappointed. I pray that you would let the ENTIRE word of GOD control what you believe, follow and subsequently TEACH! Blessings!

I don't believe in the tithe by looking at scripture! I don't see the new covenant believer being told to give a tenth to your church! It's not in the Bible at all! Tithe only mention once under the new covenant which is in hebrews to show the superiority of the Melchizedek priesthood, which is Christ priesthood, over Aaron's! The tithe Abraham gave was a one time gift of the spoils of war that he fought in defense of Sodom who lost lot in battle! Tithe is Not a new covenant teaching at all and to put church memebers under the Malachi curse is to me horrendously ungodly! They don't trust the Holy Spirit to work in believers to give so let's put them under law and not just that a Malachi curse too! Sickening and ungodly especially for those who've read scripture and know the truth! Tithe was always good for the store house! Money was free will offerings. Those who didn't have land didn't tithe at all! Only those who had land and grew crops. And they gave a tithe to the Levites! Does the Bible ever say that the church is the new Levites?? No it does not! Scripture has been twisted to force giving them say, "Gove without compulsion!" But you're under a curse if you don't! I'm sorry but not sorry! The tithe law is probably one of the greatest sins of the church!

rdmcneal Tithing in the old testament was more than jus money. They gave 10% of EVERYTHING they owned. Today they jus make it about money. As new testament Christians the bible states that we r to give as we prosper in our hearts. There is no set dollar amount for God loves a cheerful giver!
