In this video, I’ll take you to the 10 most important landmarks of Stavanger that you don’t want to miss. The travel guide also includes some additional tips on best times to visit, transport, budget, safety, and more to make the most out of your visit.
Stavanger is full of history. Being one of the oldest cities in Norway, Stavanger was the center of power during the Viking Age and an important harbor throughout the last centuries. Many Norway visitors use Stavanger as the base to explore the many stunning fjords, jaw-dropping landscapes, world-famous hiking trails, and white sandy beaches in this part of the country. And not only for these reasons, the city is also a popular cruise ship port and the huge cruise ships that anchor here dwarf everything else in the city.

Thank you! Yes, two nights are enough for the city and maybe one excursion, but it depends what you want to do in the surroundings. For example, if you also want to include a hike to Preikestolen, you might been three nights.
