I've never been to Japan outside of layovers at Narita, but I think a big part of what makes this country so attractive for travels like this is the peace of mind you have in knowing you won't get robbed, stabbed, things stolen, etc... and people generally leave you alone.

Because of my business, I would frequent Japan almost every month and I never get tired of being there. The culture, the people, the places, the food all A+. Oh and, the safest country on the planet.

This was a great series Mav, honestly, I wasn't too excited at first because it seems like all the KZfaqrs go to Japan, but you put your spin on it and it was great. I'd love to see you do Iceland.

I’m Japanese who did road trip all around Japan alone like him when I was 18 but the difference is he doesn’t know Japanese and I’m proud of him Also Japan is really safe country to travel alone even for women, kids so if anyone’s curious, go for it you won’t regret:) thanks for such a great video!!!

Have loved following you on this amazing trip! Just one suggestion: I have been doing the long-haul flights to Asia from the US - 36 hours or more! - for years, and I have found that wearing a really good face mask will keep you from getting sick on the plane. I started doing it long before covid and always got strange looks, but it is a SOLID game changer for not getting sick those first few days after you land. When you head back, definitely take a face mask on the plane and use it, except when you eat or drink, obviously, but the other 35 hours of wearing it make a huge difference.

Your videos definitely help drive the want to travel.
