This whole Japan arc was insane. MAV your channel has been such therapy for us all I think…The past 5 years has been pretty hard and lonely, but I made it through. I've never been to Japan outside of layovers at Narita, but I think a big part of what makes this country so attractive for travels like this is the peace of mind you have in knowing you won't get robbed, stabbed, things stolen, etc... and people generally leave you alone.

Because of my business, I would frequent Japan almost every month and I never get tired of being there. The culture, the people, the places, the food all A+. Oh and, the safest country on the planet.

I’m Japanese who did road trip all around Japan alone like him when I was 18 but the difference is he doesn’t know Japanese and I’m proud of him Also Japan is really safe country to travel alone even for women, kids so if anyone’s curious, go for it you won’t regret:) thanks for such a great video!!!

Mav videos are considered to me, to be one of the eight wonders of the world, remarkable, respectable, amazing things a person can see, one living life to the fullest and being so happy doing it, Thanks Mav for giving me the spark I needed in my life to change on losing 110 pounds with roughly 47 more to go.I am truly living life again, waking, going to the gym and riding a bicycle after 25 years of not riding one. You have given us all so much, at least I get a, true enjoyment watching your videos. All I can say is Keep on Trucking Mav!

I've done quite a bit of travel around rural Japan and I absolutely love it. I think a lot of people who travel to Japan miss out by sticking the the cities.

I was stationed twice in Okinawa japan for a total of 7 years 3 months and I loved every minute of it! I really loved watching your Japanese videos! They actually made me a little home sick for Japan! Great video as per usual keep up the good work!

You’ve given me the idea to perhaps travel over the summer and sleep in my car although the accommodations will not be as nice as you. Have loved following you on this amazing trip! Just one suggestion: I have been doing the long-haul flights to Asia from the US - 36 hours or more! - for years, and I have found that wearing a really good face mask will keep you from getting sick on the plane. I started doing it long before covid and always got strange looks, but it is a SOLID game changer for not getting sick those first few days after you land. When you head back, definitely take a face mask on the plane and use it, except when you eat or drink, obviously, but the other 35 hours of wearing it make a huge difference.
