2020: amidst COVID19, when travel is restricted, the window view and the flight sounds relieve me a bit from my travel addiction

The video is awesome. I loved your seat, man it looked so comfy! The lighting before darkness set in was spectacular. That’s a lot of food and drinks in a matter of 4 hours before you slept! The service was amazing.

Excellent video. Love the time lapse. Last time I flew JAL 1st class, I had the curry rice and it was superb. Really enjoy the longer version more than the condensed one. 👍👍

Do you know what, that Video/first class Service so so moving that it brought actually a tear to my eyes! The kidness of the F/As was intriguing. The meal Options a Bounty of temptations! And on top your very silent voice and the backgraound Music matched perfectly. A top notch flight experience.. may that posh JAL First Class cabin live on, and on and on

Business must be great; two flights to LHR at 11:30 and 11:40 ))))) I first flew JAL First to the Beijing Olympics, LAX > Narita > Beijing on a 747 in 2008. There were lots of important television and celebrities on board, and although it was a party atmosphere, and this was a Japanese carrier flying people to China, the crew were so amazing. So attentive, so hospitable and warm. There was nothing they didn't do to make everyone safe and comfortable. The service was extraordinary - I will never forget what a memorable flight it was.

Besides the impeccable service and delicious looking food and presentations, really enjoyed watching the sun setting with the music accompaniment. Two thumbs up for JAL and the trip review. 👍👍 Cheers. 🥂

Meal was so good especially the Ice Cream and Bottled water at the end which we didn't get even though I asked 3X for it on our return flight with Turkish airline last October 2022. They give few passengers a small bottled water. We paid the same price too. I will never forget that treatment. Seat is so spacious too. Service is so refined and courteous. If they have rice and Tempura Shrimp maybe that will be my meal plus that Bottled water. For 2 years I have not seen your videos. Now back to normal. busy checking schedules and flight videos. Happy safe travels.

Great review, James. I also think Haneda airpot is so much better than Narita. I always fly in/out of there whenever I can. JAL F is definitely outstanding. I love how they always are checking up on you and seeing if you need anything. My last flight with them, I don't think my water glass was ever empty the whole flight! I hope to fly them again in the near future.

You are such a lucky guy! To get an idea what Japan has to offer, just watch this video. It is all about the people, their friendliness and stye, and the food is just gorgeous. Even look at that pyjama, it looks so cozy! Two different styles of matresses? Are you serious? Had to get myself a japanese pillow after my trip there. Just love that country and am looking forward to visiting again once the corona crisis is offer. I have another thing to add: the sun set / moon rise scene is just breath taking. So beautiful. That made me laugh, I stayed at the Royal Park Hotel last weekend, I thought it looked very familiar! And then took the same JL43 flight. I took JL44 on the way out & was in 1K both there and back. I found the hotel rooms very quiet, but I asked for an extra pillow and blanket. Not many options for a desk to work at. I kept on UK time as my trip was short, no problem with the do not disturb sign on the door. Super convenient though, under 25 minutes from door opening to being in the hotel room, including immigration. Also super easy for the monorail and connections into town. In the lounge, there's a really quiet area upstairs called the Salon, great for working, and there's a bar area too with a bar tender as well as help yourself options. They ran out of the Salon Champagne after I'd had four glasses, which was disappointing as I was hoping to do a bottle, roughly the cost of my flights as I'd paid for them with Avios plus 700 quid taxes. The Drappier 2009 I actually preferred though, more butch, a bit like Bolly, but it's only 80 quid a bottle compared to a grand for Salon. I see you took off from the fated runway 34R. They'd just reopened the runway for my JL43 flight home: they need this long runway to make the trip to LHR & CDG as they're taking the polar route in that direction now, over Alaska, Greenland and Iceland, crossing the international date line and adding almost 2000 miles & about 3 hours to the trip thus extra fuel load. Here's my takeoff, you can see where the fateful A350 ended up at 1:15 where the grassy area is charred, the asphalt has been re-laid, and the sea defences are being reconstructed after salvaging the plane wreckage via the sea. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o92KfLulvLeYYZ8.html Cutlery layout in the napkin & bow isn't a thing anymore. I had the Japanese menu both ways. Your Mont Blanc dessert looked great. They had some really great Japanese cheeses on my flight back. No macarons though :-( The two bathrooms now have a dark floor but otherwise the same. Loo on the left is significantly larger for jammy changing. I still find the BA F and Swiss F beds the most comfy beds in the air but JAL F was still pretty good. After about 6 hours sleep, I went with the Wagyu curry, I had the same, with the Drappier though. Then went straight onto the second a la carte service.

I wish JAL made flights to Hong Kong. That looks like an incredible experience.
