(I'm uploading this video for again with a new song because the audio was removed from the first one.)
I return to continue my Japan bike trip. The weather is turning colder and while the Autumn leaves are amazing, I have to camp in below 0°C temperatures for the first time in my life.
In summer 2017, I finished my job and set off to cycle Japan from north to south. Cape Soya to Cape Sata.
This is the 2nd video from my Japan bike trip.

7:22 the polite manager said that bonfires are prohibited at the campsite but you can use stoves anywhere within the site. it's almost meaningless because all the campsites in Japan have the same rules.

More videos coming in the next few months hopefully! I have plenty of footage from my Canada and USA trip so far. Just need to find time to edit it.

Well now. Not sure that looking at this was a good idea. Certainly produced a terrible case of itchy feet. Great stuff Ciaran.

Great content on your trip and thanks for sharing your journey! This channel is so underrated. I'm planning to do a bike trip in Japan in the near future..I've a quick question: what's the average daily km you put in? Did you have any training?
@CiaranRawlinson

Thanks a lot! I never do any training for my trips. Just commuting or the occasional 20km bike ride. I think I probably average 100km, but also take some rest days. I've done 180km max.

Thanks for the repost Ciaran! Was it copyright issues on the music? Enjoyed the video, so much great memories from my Hokkaido bicycle tour last August. So much more to cycle, I plan to return to Japan someday.

Yeah, the Coldplay song was blocked in all countries. Not sure why. They usually allow the video and show ads. Same for me! Definitely hope to return to Japan in the next few years!

I was teaching in Japan for three years, so I did this trip when my contract finished. Yeah, I think there's no better way to travel than by bicycle with a tent and a lot of free time. Hope I can do it again sometime!

I did the northern loop of Hokkaido in August. But the section of the trip in this video was in October.
