Thanks for your video. Very good. I have done this and have QR codes for myself and husband. My question is do I need to send the QR code to his phone, or both being on my phone okay? I am a bit confused and don't want hassles when we land after a long flight.

As long as you are together it is fine to have them on one phone, however I would send his to his phone just in case you are sent to separate officers

Thank you for this helpful video. Once I got my QR code it did not show another QR code for my husband who is registered under my name. Can he use the same QR code? I did go back to make sure he is registered.

If you go to 10:04 change the name to your husband via a drop-down. If you can’t see his name you need to go back to adding family members on your trip registration. Fill in his details. Generate him a different QR Code.

Hi! Thank you for this! Really informative. I just wanted to ask, i watched an older video about visit japan web and it says that there should be 2 QR codes, 1 for immigration and 1 for customs. Is this an update? Will I only need 1 QR for immigration and custom? Thanks for answering

It sounds to me like you have printed your husband‘s QR code twice-it should have separate names on the QR codes. You can always go back in and don’t forget to select the drop-down list and select your name and then access the QR code as per the video, give it a go and let me know how you go!

Hello. Im arriving in Japan in 4 week at Narita. What happens if i can't fill these forms out online? Will we have to fill them out at the desk when its our turn in customs? Will they send us to the back of the line to fill forms out if we haven't completed them?

They will direct you to a counter to fill in a manual form or you can stand around to do the online form.

I’m sorry I don’t know, but I do know you can choose from the calendar so I think it could be far in advance.

@laurenl169 if you do do it early you should check that there haven’t been any updates because they do require to redo it. I would probably do it in the month prior up to the week prior.

No only entering - you’ll need to do a written one in the plane on the way to your next country (or home)

I added family members on my account...will they b issued a different qr code individually...i just got 1 qr code..no qr code for family members..is it ok or need to edit or do it again for family members on a separate act

You need to get an individual code for everyone-pay particular attention to the part where I show you should click on the drop-down to select each family member. You need those individual QR codes. I do cover it in there.

Yes because you need to fill out customs clearance for everyone so they get their own QR code.

There is an example at the beginning and during the video - can you see it? A square QR code - at time stamp 0.17

Yeah, I know. i got that code, when i scan that square QR code it's just a jumble of letters. usually such QR codes have a link which leads to the site where officials can verify. If you have a prior code which got accepted , can you point your phone, scan it and see if it goes to a link when you tap on it? thanks again

Yes - theoretically you could do it when you land if you have wifi, but it’s much better to do it before you go so you’re ready for customs

Yes as long as you have your passport with you. Keep your boarding passes just in case.

@mherssantos7794 no you will need to do whatever the Philippines system is, but if you are a citizen you don’t need to worry - they can work any problem out at the airport. 😊 There is usually a customs declaration arrival card given out on flights.
