Great vlog....you can clearly see how, after 10 years, you know exactly how to roll, measure and cut !! I'm a bit ocd and iron my fabrics ( I make journals tho...just a bit different lol). Once youv'e been in your work space a while, you will know what works and what you might change ( light through windows etc).

Yeah - dachshunds end up with back problems so stairs in the long run can be an issue 😊 - ❤ed mine - he was a traumatized rescue tho and you would think smaller is easier to walk but people would think I was abusing him because he would make such a fuss on the leash. Snarling 😮 yelping 😮 rolling on his back and being dramatic. I totally relied on Cesar Milan and his method helped us through all 4 rescues - all different pups.

That fabric is shantung. Make sure you use the right needle for it.

Lovely vlog, and love your new Autumn collection, especially the hamsters and satins. When you do get the roof fixed, try and get the whole new roof and guttering done (expensive, but definitely worthwhile in the long run, especially if you should ever decide to sell and move on). When you get your windows done (you mentioned that in your last vlog), it might be worth thinking about getting double-glazed windows which have blinds that are inside the double glazing). Here in the UK they are called integral blinds. They would be good as it would keep your room cool in summer, warm in winter, and protect your fabrics from sunlight damage. Hope you have a busy week at the markets. 🙂

She glues them first, then sews them before closing the turning hole.

@@renfairegoddess that makes so much sense! I don't do many scrunchies. Really, just for family or to match a little dress that I've made. That would speed the process, for me. I spend way too much time, trying to hold the ends of my elastic together, to sew them. She's a genius!!

It’s silk not satin. I have silk from Japan, which is natural silk. Mine looks the same as yours. I use mine for machine embroidered quilts.

Dachshund's have huge joint and mobility problems - I wouldn't recommend them unless you wanna sink a ton of money into a dog which has been super duper inbred. If you're on the fence, I recommend speaking to a vet or vet nurse because they'll be able to say whether or not they'd recommend the breed for your lifestyle/temperament needs. Personally, I am strongly in the adopt, don't shop camp. Lots of dogs need homes, so getting a pedigree bred dog seems illogical to me, i'd rather save dogs from being put down. Also, mixed breeds tend to be healthier, even in strong pedigree lines because you have more genetic diversity to counteract issues common to the breed. I used to want a particular cat breed but my vet basically told me, all breeds are, are just a set of traits inbred into an animal until they look like a certain standard. I'd rather have a sweet animal rather than one with brain damage (seriously, look up the CRUFTS pedigree show, their best of show were Caviller King Charles dogs that had been bred with heads so small it caused genetic swelling/brain damage to the dogs).
