no iv been there 60+ times never a issue , actually alot of younger genz wanna see them and ask me about them and like them.... Only thing is old school community onsen cant go , which unless your into being naked with old locals you not missing much lol....

People over exaggerate alot and i find most ppl that talk the most maybe been there 1 time if at all.. enjoy your trip and don't worry, Japan is one of my top 3 country to visit!!!!
