They managed to do this just 2 decades after the war.

Cuz Japan was a fairly developed country before the war too. Germany infact was as advanced as USA and others (if not more). The physical infrastructure is rebuilt easily if you have an educated, or atleast literate population. It's not right to compare with China, India & Africa which had like only 10% literate population in 1950.
Japan always makes us realize that they are the most advanced people on Earth. Love from India 🇮🇳🇯🇵

Once a upon a time you guys (Indians) were the most advanced people on the Earth.

Sourav Khanna I think that’s an excuse. Japan was bombed in 1945. By 1960 it became one of the fast growing economies. India became an independent nation in 1947. They could have once again become the most advanced country. Even now Indians are the pillars of the most advanced organisations such as NASA, Google etc.

This video is almost 50 years old. And we in India still can not even dream of this type of train right now. This shows how slow India's development is😡😡👎👎

naman bhatt All the smart Indians leave their country and work for a country overseas. But Japanese rarely did that. They stayed back and developed their country.

U can give ample amount of economic aid...But it doesnt neccessarly mean they will developed..For example US gave aid to many South amarican anti communist govt. Nd Pakistan for that matter yet these countries are sooo corrupt nd far from any sort of development Its always about govt detrrmination how to lift peole out of grivence
It boggles me to think that Japan in 1960s was already far more advanced than many countries in 2020. The more I learn about Japan, the more I start loving this great nation.

Japanese railways were basically narrow-gauge 3'6" railways, incapable of high speeds - so they decided to build new lines, and kept the old lines for local traffic, which still survive today.
@michaelsiweya65003 жыл бұрын
I checked on the dash board, the train is capable of high speed ...lookalike the same trains exist nowadays in most European countries...They were highly advanced for sure
I've lived in Japan for many years and the Shinkansen is my favourite method of long distance travel. Here's an interesting observation: I live way down in west Japan and from Tokyo to here by Shinkansen costs around 17,000 Yen, by air costs around 17,000 Yen and by car the motorway tolls cost around 17,000 Yen.
My respect to the Japanese,they suffer from tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanic eruption, typhoons, floods,heatwaves,ww2 bombings,the world's only nuclear attack, famine, poverty, colonised,and yet they emerged the most hardworking,most resilient most cultured,most educated, most advanced,most prosperous nation on earth.
