Hakuba Village is located in the mountains of the Japanese Alps, just outside Nagano City, which hosted the 1998 Winter Olympics. Known as a mecca for winter sports, it has a mountain resort area with terrain suitable for skiing, snowboarding, and hiking. The Hakuba Jump Arena, built for the Olympics, is located at the foot of the Happo-One Ski Resort. Hakuba Village is also full of hot springs and après-ski spots.
