My son settled down in Shinjuku, married a Japanese lady, got two kids, making me a grandfather. I've been in Tokyo 12 times, often walking the streets, but never in North Tokyo. Now I've got cancer, so I will never be able to go to lovely Tokyo again. But I enjoy walking the streets with you. One question: You often visit what seems to be a railway station, what is the name of that eki?

I wanted to say thanks for making these videos. I struggle with major depression. I've been trying hard to get better, but things can still get unbearable sometimes. These videos can always calm me down during those times. Something about the sound of the rain and beautiful scenery really brings me back to my senses. It's difficult to express how helpful that is. Keep doing what you do!

Same here, Joseph and tk. There's something about Japan's orderliness and neatness that makes you feel especially safe and secure in the rain and storms. I watch other rains from other places too and they're good, but not as calming as these.

There's something calming about watching rain at night in a well lit city with no one around. The reflections on the pavement from the many stores and street lights, make the rain really easy to see at night and creates a nice contrast. That and the sound of rain and wind and I'm finding myself slowly closing my eyes and just let the zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I gotta avoid main roads to minimize car noise. But sometimes just can’t annoy it. That’s why I started cutting out car passing by in separate videos.

I love your videos but after 5 minutes I turn them off because the audio doesn't help. Your videos to me are all about the audio experience. I still appreciate the effort you put into it. Please upgrade the audio recording when you can. Good luck with your channel

You should get a very strong-ribbed umbrella and a good sound muffler for your mic. PB

I have gotten an external mic with double wind shields. But typhoon 19 was too strong. Sometimes audio would shut off completely. But for the most part, it sounds much better. I don’t know what umbrella would survive a typhoon with winds of over 140mph. Haha.

I usually just put ads at the start and end of rain walk. It looks like KZfaq added mid-video ads to all my videos by default. I just removed mid-video ads.

Haha. It is kinda nuts. If I get injured, it will take a while before someone notices at that hour. That walk broke my iPhone XS. I hope it was worth it. So far it’s one of my more successful videos.
