But as children grow up their family, culture, and society can influence them to become Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, atheist, agnostic, etc... I’ve done some research only to find that the sheer number of underlying societal and politically economical issues they house is extraordinary. From the ridiculous suicide rate and the even more ridiculous work-life balance to the sky-rocketing divorce rates and the discrimination against non-Japanese. Some of these reasons may be due to Japan being a primarily Atheist country in this day and age. So maybe, just maybe, Japan isn’t such a great country after all.
