【Manza Onsen Houkoku-kan】
Manza Onsen is a hot spring located on a plateau 1,800 meters above sea level in Gunma Prefecture. Manza Onsen is famous for having the thickest sulfur spring water in Japan, with a beautiful milky white color.
Houkoku-kan is a simple hot-spring cure inn featuring a large open-air bath for mixed bathing.

・What is "TO-JI"?
Onsen have been used to treat illness and injury. A prolonged stay in Onsen for medical treatment is called a "TO-JI" (therapeutic hot spring cure). Ryokans for TO-JI, with their old architecture, inexpensive accommodations, and self-catering facilities, are unique from ordinary Onsen Ryokans and remain in many parts of Japan to this day.
