Children's Day, or Kodomo no Hi, is celebrated during Golden Week every year on May 5. I LOOOVE Children's Day, as it's such a special way to celebrate and honor our future generations.
In today's video, we go to the Nakisumo crying baby festival at Gokoku Shrine in Hiroshima, Japan. This crying sumo match is adorable and so fun!! What do you think?
When you visit Japan for Children's Day, make sure you find somewhere beautiful to see the koinobori, which are carp flags and streamers to celebrate the children.

I feel like your whole energy has changed since having Baby Atlas. It’s incredible to see how, for someone who was so worried to have a baby, looks so amazing doing it! Gives me the greatest amount of encouragement and relief. Love your videos!

I definitely prefer the countryside over the city. You really get that traditional TRADITIONAL experience. I love living outside the city. 😊

I love how you blur out baby Atlas' face! Its so smart and really protects his privacy while growing up! All of your videos are my favourite!!!! (Especially the hauls at the supermarkets!!)! This was the funniest and most unique event video!!

How magical. What a wonderful day, not only to celebrate children, but to enjoy the children here in Japan.

This is hilarious! It's like the crying baby on Santa's lap Christmas photo but the crying is being encouraged and celebrated as a part of life and learning to be brave in the face of adversity. I love it!

Funny with the sand. How about grass? I´ve seen more than one baby be freaked out by the feeling of grass under the feet :D

You are glowing Mama!! You are doing a wonderful job 💕 I agree about visiting the countryside. They are the diamonds in the rough! I prefer to visit the small towns over the big cities. I love the charm, the calm, and specialities of craftsmanship in each town. Love this video so much!

As someone without a child, going to a festival full of crying babies seems awful 😂

It was a little odd that other babies faces were shown in this video. I totally get you don’t want to put baby Atlas face out there but why others?

Great question! Only families who were actively participating in the sumo match on stage were shown. That’s because the sumo matches are televised, so Video and photos are allowed. If parents don’t want their children’s photos taken / videos taken, then they don’t participate in the festival ♥️

刚出生的宝宝会哭证明有生命力。那么大的宝宝,哭是真的不开心啊。这个比赛很没有意义。生まれたばかりの赤ちゃんじゃあるまいし、わざと泣かせるのがどうかと思う、、baby crying contest?sorry I can’t appreciate the cuteness of this contest,I’d like to see adults crying 😈
