What??? No Nausicaa locations??? :P I remember watching an episode of Cool Japan on TV Japan many years ago and they featured a location that looks like it could've inspired some locations of the sky castle in Laputa. That might be another fun location for you to explore since after the episode of Cool Japan showed this desolate location, people became interested in it and started cleaning the area up. I wish I could remember where that location was... :(
