The Japan men's national volleyball team (Japanese: 男子バレーボール日本代表) represents Japan in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, governed by Japan Volleyball Association. Their nickname is "RYUJIN NIPPON (龍神 NIPPON)", meaning "Japanese Dragon God" or "Dragon God of Japan" in Japanese.[1] Japan won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 1964 Olympic Games, followed by silver at Mexico 1968 and a gold at Munich 1972. The years after this have been less successful. Japan missed three successive Olympic Games before returning at Beijing 2008, where they failed to win a match. Japan then failed to qualify for the London 2012 Olympic Games and also missed Rio 2016 after finishing seventh at the World Olympic Qualification Tournament in Tokyo.
The Argentina national volleyball team represents Argentina in international men's volleyball and is controlled by the Argentine Volleyball Federation (Federación del Voleibol Argentino in Spanish, and abbreviated "FeVA").

Japan is really one of the powerhouse in mens volleyball. What they lack in height, they compensate with speed. Kudos also to the Argentina team, they’re also one of the powerhouse in volleyball. Recently, they win against Brazil for the Volleyball Men’s South American Championship after 56 years. 😱😱😱

the preliminary round consists of three weeks where each team plays four matches (12 in total). by the end of the three weeks, the first seven teams + the host qualify to the final round play-offs while teams from the ninth to fifteenth place go back home and the sixteenth team gets relegated to the challenger cup. hope this helps!
