I can imagine the same way traditionally in medieval fashion (implying attacks like this actually happened). 1. A wall destroyed around a structure/structures is a wall you either have to repair yourself, or dedicate man power away from the wall to be reactive rather than proactively fighting if the wall is breached or if the breach is just out right bum rushed. 2. Grenades can do a lot, but such weapons are finite on the field. Most soldiers depending on the model maybe carried only one, 3 or 4 if they were smaller. But once they are disposed of they are gone. After that there isn't much you can do. 3. If its a totally enclosed structure, there isn't gonna be much of a flank at all. You can try sneak a some people around with something like shock troops, but as soon as you are spotted, they can just redirect people towards you and you are back to square one. But honestly wouldn't think to much on it. These chinese war movies are garbage and are just meant to make its enemies look like morons, along with the Chinese Nationalist forces (which are the ones here) look equally incompetent compared to the communist fighters.
