So, I worked hard to fill the gaps with polyurethane foam spray, and after that, I completed the thermal insulation job.

That beam passing through the bottom of the truss structure at 3:00 should have been strapped. I understand that it is allowed to bow in anticipation of heavy snows but the cracks in it are well over the half way point and thus the lower 2/3 of it are only acting as dead weight. Strapping them in order to restrict their movement to 20mm or so would still allow them to perform as shock absorbing horizontal struts but save from their failing under severe stress. Leaving it like that, in my opinion, is asking for that roof to collapse should there be a mudslide or large earthquake that compromises the integrity of the walls.

i have never seen insulation wrapped in the plastic bags. It is a great idea!

Iam sorry. I dont like using polyurethane foam for old traditional buildings. Especially one with clay wals.
