Look for Tatsuro Yamashita. The guy is a freaking singing genius, arranger, lyricist, producer. Try Ride On Time, Love Space, December, Christmas Eve, etc. Japanese City pop is truly a rabbit hole to get into.

Great, relaxing genre. Mariya is great! Highly recommended Noriko Miyamoto - my life. The instrumentals compete with the vocals for awesomeness in that one. 😉
