I have Gunichi aswell. Don’t you think it’s best to just use him on Shima? That’s what I’m doing. The only purpose behind using him elsewhere is for the torpedoe reload which doesn’t make much sense to me as now you are firing two tubes where shima has three without the reload. Tell me if I’m wrong. Idk

Honestly, with the Shimakaze already having 3 engine accelerators and pretty good stealth even with just the one smoke, I haven't missed the extra skills when using it. On the Kitakaze, bumping all 3 skills from 2 to 3 uses means I have them when I need them and I don't feel the need to avoid using a skill other than when thinking about the cooldown timing.

There are ships that can carry a team kicking and screaming to victory, but sometimes, it's a 1v7 that you just can't win :) I don't have Friesland, but I did get my hands on Groningen, which is quite fun as well.

Ironically I suck at the torpedo line, and the gunboat line is perfect for me.

Role-wise, this is a scout cruiser. Play it more like a light cruiser than a traditional DD, and avoid close-range engagements, mostly

Aki was such a revelation after a very meh start, I instantly bought the historical camo :) Kitakaze is fun, and I think Haru will be as well.

It’s painful up until tier 7.

Well Hatsuharu was ok, Shiratsu was better though… tier 8 is where it really starts. The rest are all basically rerolls

I struggled with the Akizuki until I watched Terry’s video and realized that this is a very tiny Seattle with no armor. Find battleships and make their life hell. Don’t go fighting DDs and Cruisers
