"Butterfly and Wisteria"
Continuing from last time, I embroidered butterflies and wisteria.
This time I used six techniques.
(Actually, I used seven techniques if you add "Matsui stitch" which is not shown in the video)
I used the same color of the fabric for the wisteria so that it would not stand out too much as a background, but I still wanted to add some variety, so I used "wari-nui" to make it stand out a little.
I tried "application of suga embroidery (I don't know the name of the technique...)" on a whim, and it created a texture similar to the woven pattern of the fabric.
There is individuality that can be felt in the colors, but I felt that individuality can also be expressed in the choice of technique.
I hope you will enjoy embroidery time with me ☺️

= Shizusa silk embroidery =
When I started working as a Japanese embroidery craftsman,
I had the opportunity to see a practice cloth embroidered by an old craftsman.
I remember that the detailed and careful embroidery was so beautiful that I couldn't believe it was practice.
Since then, I have made it a habit to spend time doing embroidery outside of work.
The design is based on "Japanese designs and pictures that have been loved for a long time".
I would be happy if everyone could sympathize with the cuteness of the designs and the excitement of crafts!

Hi Thank you for sharing Japanese Embroidery, I'm always fascinated with other embroidery techniques. I have tried Japanese Embroidery along while ago, but I forgot it's name, but it's repeating. Though I think that some of you stitches reminded me of the Brick Stitch & Satin & you gold edge stitch what's I know as Whipped Stitch. It turned out wonderful so Thank you again. ⭐⭐

You like embroidery.🥰 Japanese embroidery techniques have a lot in common with other types of embroidery, but I think the way the thread is used is unique. I hope you'll try Japanese embroidery again!

i love this!! you have incredible skill, i am in awe. i was worried about how all the different techniques would work in the end, but it looks so lovely all together !!! i also adore your color choices, you were so right to go for the high contrast dark thread, and the gold contour is such a nice finishing touch. very happy to have found your channel 💕💗💕

Thank you☺️I use starch paste to hold the threads in place. Starch paste is good because it keeps the fabric soft even after it hardens.

Beautiful. What is that tool called that you use to help lay your thread flat? 🤔 i can use that in my cross stitch. 😊
@shizusa.silkembroidery
@shizusa.silkembroidery 7 күн бұрын
It's called a "Kotebari." It's a tool used in Japanese embroidery. You can use a thicker needle, such as a needle for yarn, instead.🙆🏻‍♀️
