first track reminds me of Demon Fuzz - Afreaka, which made the rounds on youtube almost ten years ago. This mix really excites me, I have been searching for a gateway to Japanese jazz. Now I am learning... this is where all those chillhop mixes got their source (1:17:00)

First instinct is jazz-funk. Discogs is popping out Bob James' One, Placebo's Ball of Eyes which aren't like that off I think. (Very) generally speaking a decent amount of library music from the 70s (Italian, British) has the vibe. Underground Session by Janko Nilovic comes to mind particularly. Hope someone else has a more succinct answer lmao
