I can’t wait to show this recipe to my dad! He actually used to be a bartender back in his 20s. The story is pretty interesting: his original job at that same place was as a dishwasher, but one night the bartender was sick and couldn’t come into work, so he had to step in. He learned all the basic drinks on the fly and did so well that he and the original guy decided to split their shifts 😁 And he still knows all the recipes till this day

Next time I go to Japan I will try it. I will also hunt Martina down and give her a big hug because she is such a sweetheart who I have seen going through so much. I feel like a spectator like in the movie the Truman show! I have watched her since beginning of EYK days with Kpop reviews. It's bitter sweet now I have a whole kid, she's only 2 months lol but damn time is flying by. Cheers to many more awesome videos Martina!

That fancy spoon you were using to stir is actually designed that way for a specific reason. You are supposed to pour the carbonated drink of choice *ON TO the STEM*, and it will gently swirl down, and stay fizzy. And then when stirring, slide the spoon all the way against the side, beside the ice. And then do a twirl motion, holding it with the tips of your fingers at the end. The goal is to swirl the whole concoction around. That way the ice is also cooling the glass it is in.

very much my style of cocktail, gotta find somewhere i can buy shochu here to try it!! for a similar flavour profile (distilled alcohol + sour lemon) i highly recommend a pomada, it's a cocktail from where my family's from that's basically just gin (ideally a LOT of gin) and fresh sour lemonade (the still stuff, like the "american style", not sprite or anything like that)

I looked it up on wikipedia and it says that Lesca is supposed to be: café au lait but when I asked my Japanese friend she said that she thinks it's some kind of lemon drink. I've even asked my friend who is a mixologist and he has never heard of it.
