To learn kanji i reccomend this great book called kanji handbook its amazing and it teaches you 1945 different kanji and i would reccomend getting a whiteboard great for paractising kanji and kana .hope that helped❤🎉🎉😊

「とても良い一日でした」 Wouldn’t this translate to, “The whole day was great/The whole day went very well.”? Why turn that into “Today wasn’t bad”? I don’t think that’s a very helpful translation for beginners. とても - Very, exceedingly 良い/よい - Good, well, nice １日 - All day, the whole day (in this context) でした - Was There are no double negatives in the original, Japanese sentence. Furthermore, the dialogue was about someone’s journal entry describing their entire day from morning til night. The translation drops the emphasis on “the whole day” and how good it was. -- Wow also 「途中で、買い物してきてほしいんだけど」 Doesn’t sound like a question to me. To me this translates to, “I need you to buy some things on your way home.” and not so much, “Could you buy something on the way home?” When I pass N1 I’m going to apply for a job as a translator at Japanesepod101.

An irrelevant question but can someone please clarify how many units need to be completed to reach each proficiency level (N5, N4, etc.) in the premium version of Japanese Pod 101?
