In this video, I went to check out the newly opened DON DON DONKI at JEM! DON DON DONKI is a Japanese-themed supermarket that also hosts a food court and offers prepackaged meals for the hungry visitor. The variety of ready-to-eat food items really caught my eye so I decided to buy a bunch to show you guys and to give them a try.
Overall, it was rather affordable for Japanese cuisine and close enough to being authentic for supermarket fare, but it could be rather hit-or-miss (Looking at you unagi). Be sure to give it a shot if you're near an outlet and craving for Japanese cuisine. I recommend trying the salmon belly don and the pork gyozas.

Wow that is a shitload of food. I remember only being able to eat like the katsudon, the salmon aburi, some small sashimi platter and some croquettes. All in a single sitting, and I felt so damn full after that. Not sure how you can fit all of that inside man! Respect

Its called a chicken quarter, the chicken leg is connected to the chicken thigh (duh), thats also why you encountered a lot of bone, its funny how they advertise it as a huge chicken leg.

Singapore dollar is very similar exchange rate to Australian dollar... 90 dollars for all that food it is equal to going to iga supermarket in Australia to get ready to eat cooked foods like sandwiches and savoury foods

wow that fried chicken leg is huge haha, chicken on steroids. for ready-made food standards, everything looks good. (altho I agree with the overload of sauce, japanese love their kewpie mayo a little too much at times. while you were dying from the mayo, it reminded me of that video many years ago when matt stonie ate a whole jar of mayo by the spoonfuls xD) also, you should have gotten desserts! (even tho youre not a dessert person xD), japan and korea have some of the best convenience store desserts xDD

WOW there is a Donki in singapore?!! Here in Japan the take away food is not so much highlight to buy. It's like famous for foreigner because they are offering tax free and a lot of snacks, electronic gadgets, perfumes, shoes, clothes to buy.
