During World War II, Soochow, a mixed-breed dog with an amazing ability to sense when danger is close, becomes a beloved member of the Fourth Regiment stationed in China. Soochow was born in the 1930s near Soochow Creek. His story takes place in Shanghai's International Settlement. The Marines take him in during a storm and make him their unofficial mascot for Company B.
During the Sino-Japanese War, Soochow Creek separates the parts of the Settlement that are controlled by the Japanese from the parts that are controlled by the Anglo-Americans. As the war goes on and things get worse, Soochow's adoption into the Marines, complete with a uniform, becomes a bright spot. Soochow is a "self-reliant cuss," but the Marines love him even though he isn't always willing to work with them.
In 1940, a terrible accident happens when a Marine truck hits Soochow. He survives with a broken spine, which shows how strong he is. After getting better, he goes back to being the Marine Corps' loyal mascot.
The unit is sent to the Philippines and lands in Olongapo at the end of November 1941. Soochow is "smuggled" on board and becomes a part of the unit's story. Everything changes after the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 8, 1941. After World War II, Japan turns against the United States, but Soochow stays with Company B.
In order to protect Manila Bay, the Marines are being moved to Corregidor. Even though the Japanese are bombing the troops, Soochow stays with them and has an uncanny knack for figuring out when attacks are coming. Because he is brave and loyal, Soochow has a special place in the Marines.
As the Japanese attack on the Philippines gets stronger, it's clear that Corregidor can't last much longer. By May 1942, the island is constantly being attacked, and things are getting worse for the Marines.

This is a GREAT concept: finding and presenting little-known stories from the WWII era: there should be a good demand for such a thing!! However, this video is decidedly sub-standard. The narration, for starters, is exceptionally monotonous - to be quite frank it sounds like a computer-generated "robot voice": the pronunciations are all over the map, there are inexplicable,, semi-random pauses, a complete lack of enthusiasm and empathy, etc. On top of that, the bold-faced text that is supposed to say what the voice is saying, seems to also be computer-generated, or just done very poorly. For example, it reads "both people" when the speaker clearly says "boat people". There are also inappropriate capitalizations, some gaps, and the overall effect is mind-numbing. If you are going to pursue this venture much further, might i suggest you a) proof-read and spruce up the text so that it is more exciting and engaging, b) find a narrator who is excellent at what he or she does (if the narrator is you in this video, i do apologise but it's simply not very captivating. Take a look at Simon's science videos for example: he is one of the best narrators on KZfaq and can be used as an example of how to capture the watcher's attention and KEEP it right to the very end., and c) Get some visuals - at the very least a series of different photos closely related to the narrative: this is not radio and people expect to be both visually as well as audibly engaged and entertained. // I hope this short critique is of some help, and i wish you all the best!!!!

One further thing: before putting it on the internet for the world to see and hear, watch it VERY carefully. Make a note of things that should be fixed, then fix them. Even some of the best videos on KZfaq don't seem to do this: there are glaring errors in many otherwise excellent presentations, which could easily have been spotted if the creators had simply proof-watched it beforehand and made corrections and improvements.

Thanks for this critique. But such video creation requires alot of money and time. Someone doing for hobby can not afford to find professional narrator. A professional narrator for one hour video would take my whole month's pocket money (may be even more).
