The mixed materials in the fence is fantastic, especially the nandina branches. I love the reuse of all the elements in this garden and I really can’t wait to see the conclusion ❤️

The contrast of levers and heavy mallets to move the stone, then a fine metal tool to pack the grit between. I see Japan here.

I would like to know as well! Looks like cement and sand but I notice there isn't any compacted sub-base (perhaps the soil is compacted)

In Japanese, stone basin is called "chouzu bachi.
