Clorox Bleach I believe you have it backwards. There is MORE automation than people realize. If you really want to, you can buy automated vacuum cleaners and lawn mowers. Mail is sorted, chain is manufactured, cars and microcircuits are assembled automatically these days. It wasn’t very long ago that we needed an operator to run an elevator - now, you just tell it where you want to go and it automatically closes the door, takes you up or down, and then opens the door again. One man used to have to work very hard to manage a 40 acre farm. Modern machinery automates so much of that labor now that that the average farm in the us is 15 times larger and produces 100 times as much product. Laboratories have automated systems which precisely measure, mix, and dispense chemicals over and over again, thousands of times a day. Airplanes are now routinely flown by autopilot. The list where it is already happening just goes on and on. And more is already in the works. I expect to see the day when long haul truck driving is done entirely by machine. Amazon and FedEx already have automated warehouse-to-door deliver systems in development. Self driving cars are just a generation away. Automation is quickly becoming ubiquitous.

The only reason this type of art was ever possible is because the billionaires had enough money to try and one up each other funding these. Producing artwork like this is what it took to be middle class. Most of the population was lucky to eat twice a day.

In the olden days artists had wealthy patrons who paid the artists to create amazing works of Art. That way the artists didn't have to worry about supporting their families or acquiring the materials and tools they needed for their work.

So, more people can have basic needs covered. Progress puts the base of the pyramid. You cant beat that. Social justice didnt exist before, Nor as a dream or a posibility.

moder man ist clever and smart, but we are only so clever and smart cause we can build on the knowlege of ouer ancestors. thats what diferenciates us humans from other "clever" animals. No other species is capeable of passing on knowlege in the capacity humans are able to do.

Have you ever seen a car factory? Or any factory for that matter. Yes this was amazing but he had a reason for making these. That reason doesnt exist now...(The royal courts of Europe are gone) and we do have even better more complex mechanisms now....Better watches... better everything..

They did it with education, mastery of maths, advanced mechanical engineering, well made and very accurate hand tools, simple drafting tools like compasses, protractors and dividers and above all- artistic mastery. The era was FAR more advanced in engineering, Natural Philosophy (later called "science") than the media portrays. Please read about Gottfried Leibniz, Denis Papan, Rudolph Clausius, Nicola Leonard Sadi Carnot and James Clerk Maxwell just for starters.
