One night, corporate ordered every single piece of advertisement that had his face or name on it to get torn down and thrown out before the media got ahold of the story. Jared Fogle actually became a sovereign citizen and filed some of the weirdest and dumbest motions and papers I have ever had the misfortune of reading during his stint in federal court. Like, sincerely I cannot overstate how bizarre some of the arguments are in his pleadings/filings.
@EllieBelle199314 күн бұрын
Please elaborate!
@Cutest-Bunny99814 күн бұрын
Well at one point he had a fellow prisoner file a motion to file an amicus brief... in a trial court?! And he claimed that he was a sovereign that the District Court lacked subject-matter jurisdiction over (which is backwards because the court exercises jurisdiciton of a topic, ie subject matter and separately exercises personal jurisdiction on a specific person, which Jared never contested...) This is literally an argument that that Congress did not intend this Court to be able to apply that law upon me in this venue. It's nonsense and it's never worked. Subject matter jurisdiction can properly be challenged, and must be present for any adjudication at all, but the Court doesn't lose subject-matter jurisdiction no matter who the person before the Court. Worse, he tried to bring his jurisdictional claim via improper criminal procedure, as he argued clear error which is subject to some judicial discretion, and not that the proceedings and collateral holdings were void ab initio, so even if his argument made sense (it did not), it was still wrong for procedural reasons.

Fun fact: eating things with real sugar is better for you than artificial sweetners. If you take in artificial sweetners your more likely to eat more, or drink, because your body wants actual sugar, so you're more apt to end up overeating or drinking things that have both artificial and actual sugar. I don't eat lots of sweets, but when I do it's actual sugar bc of that and I'm allergic to artificial sweetners.

As someone who’s lost 100lbs and is also in school to be a dietician, the most important thing for weight loss is CICO (calories in-calories out). No matter what you’re doing, it’s a balance of energy. Of course nutrients and everything are important for your health, but if your only goal is weight loss, you could eat nothing but twinkies and still lose weight as long as you’re not eating over your daily calorie limit. Since I’m disabled, I didn’t even exercise, just ate better and was careful of my caloric intake. It took longer for me because of that, but I still did lose the weight and have kept it off.
