I read that it is very likely that Crozier himself and another unknown man were the last ones standing. They were the ones that as we know were able to get the most south before disappearing.

@@frustis Yea, I believe it was him and Fitzjames more concretely and some sources even have Lt. Little rounding out the trio. The Netsilik people state three men joined up with their tribe and one of them had children and married which some believe to be Fitzjames. Be interesting if it’s discovered Fitzjames was the man who lived the longest as in reality he was probably the healthiest of any of the survivors. If the Netsilik are to be believed, he married one of the tribe’s women and had four children and died in his mid-70s. I get it would of taken the punch out the ending if Fitzjames and Little survived so I’m fine with Crozier being the last man standing. If the Fitzjames theory ends up proven, be interesting if they made an alternate ending and bring back Tobias Menzies that shows Fitzjames with a loving family and fairly good rest of his life.
