Josh Taylor actually I loved him in Suicide Squad and in the Dallas Buyer's Club. But in his real life as a person...he tries to be very original. Now that's something that one shouldn't try to be...an original person can be seen from a mile, but something around Jared is odd. Like Jim Carrey is original, every person in the cast of any Tarantino film is original and pure both on and off the screen...maybe that's why they don't do very good in other films... But Jared doesn't fit in the Tarantino universe. Btw I think Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx don't fit in the Tarantino world too...but they have been there(ruined a few scenes too)

Mr.nobody is an amazing movie, the direction, sound track,script, emotional scenes everything and jared leto gave an awesome performance of all time still the movie is so underrated. sad! It made a huge impression on me cos it seemed a lot different and innovative leto's performance just brought it to life one of my faves

A lot of people liked his performance in Suicide Squad, he wasn't the problem in the movie at all. It was a poorly written and rushed script with too many characters, some of which had no impact at all. One of the main complaints a lot of people had was there wasn't enough Joker. It's fine if you didn't like the movie, a lot of people didn't, but they mostly thought Jared did a great job as the Joker. Even if you hated the Joker's aesthetic, his performance itself was good, aside from that cringey shock therapy line.

It's not so much that his performance as The Joker was bad, it's that no-one is going to ever come close to Heath Ledgers performance. Plus, Suicide Squad as a film was absolute awful in every respect.

I know the hate for Leto's Joker runs deep with people. But I would recommend a re-watch, and you honestly tell me that the trouble lied at his feet? I don't think so. I think the movie had 2 redeeming qualities. Margo Robbie and Jared Leto, in all honesty they were the two strongest actors, the two most interesting (and important) characters, and I think could have potential in a sequel or spin-off. If anyone who was following this movie (Suicide Squad) while it was still in production, you'd know that this movie was a HUGE rush order from WB. David Ayer didn't have long to do this movie, have the movie written, and then in post have 45% of the movie cut most of which was Leto's because as Ayer said "It just wasn't important to the narrative of the story we were trying to tell"... But, as we all know the movie fell apart in the third act, with the finally being yet again another sky beam of doom, and overly CGI monsters that looked just terrible, not to mention Cara Delivgne is a good up and coming actress, but I think she shouldn't have been Enchantress, I think the writing was done by someone who didn't know or respect the source material, and as a result the movie got raked against the coals upon release. In ending, I truly think Leto got the brunt end of a stick that should've been pointed more toward WB and David Ayer and the writer. I would be willing to bet ANYTHING if they gave a Jared Leto and Margo Robbie/ Joker & Harley one-off movie with Rian Johnson as director everyone would love it.
