Jared Miller at Jordan Dam north of Wetumpka Alabama during Day Three of the Alabama River Charge presented by Star brite. When he tried to leave the area, the rapids pushed his boat into the rocks.

I was locking through a Tennessee River dam (Guntersville) with some high school classmates in 1974 and we somehow started taking on water. Turned out to be a lost drain plug. We were on a trip from Decatur, Alabama to Chattanooga and all had been going great. Suddenly our feet were wet. Water was swirling and we were enclosed in the dam, freaking out. One of the guys crawled to the hole and stuck a shirt in the hole. Whew! Lesson learned! Respect the dam!!!!!!!!! I bet you that boater will respect that dam more after that.
@anthonytaylor84579 ай бұрын
If you drive forward as fast as you can all the water will push out. I hit a log once and broke my drain plug. Started taking on water fast.. i got on it and drove it to the ramp a few miles away. All the water pushed out. The hard part was getting my trailer in the water and the boat out before taking on too much water.
