I'll add to the story. Tim Steele would return to ARCA competition, and as noted in his NASCAR special "Tough Like Steele" he would fall on to hard times as his head injury led to pill addiction, and other issues. Tim would still race as his treatments were somewhat successful, including becoming a Super Late Model team owner in West Michigan. His team would win the 2007 All-American 400 with fellow West Michigan driver, and now multiple time CRA Super Series Champion John VanDoorn. VanDoorn drove for Steele through 2009, before going to drive for a different owner and Steele came back to his Late Model roots. Jason Jarrett had a successful for the most part ARCA career from 2001-2007ish driving for Warsaw, IN based ML Motorsports including wins at Kansas and Salem. Recently, Jason has worked as a spotter for several teams in ARCA and NASCAR including various roles internally at Richard Childress Racing and other business ventures.

Tim Steele was definitely one of the more forgotten drivers and I think he had a lot of talent but unfortunately injuries ruined it all
